McDonald’s use Beatles images in Liverpool branch

The Grauniad reports…

Paul McCartney was none too happy to discover his pictures were being used to adorn a Liverpool branch of McDonald’s.

The scummy Sun newspaper today reports that devoted vegetarian McCartney “hit the roof” when he found out his portrait, alongside the other Beatles, was being used to attract customers to the renowned burger chain.

The singer’s spokesman, Geoff Baker, was equally incandescent with rage. “What sort of morons do McDonald’s think Beatles fans are? It’s ridiculous and insulting to use images to peddle hamburgers,” he said. “Fans should boycott McDonald’s, and not just in Liverpool*.”

A McDonald’s spokeswoman said the pictures represented “the outstanding contribution the Beatles made to both local and global culture.”
