Another good find….

Jane and I went to Windmill on Saturday for our vegan bits and bobs when we happened to come across this nice little cafe called the South Bohemia Art Gallery and Cafe!

South Bohemia Art Gallery and Cafe

They are not a veggie cafe but do a good range of both veggie and vegan dishes and have a good understanding about the vegan diet :0)

Check out their art and food at 196 Smithdown Road, Liverpool, L15 3JT

Jane and I enjoyed a scrummy brekkie washed down with green tea!

They don’t have a website. You can find a map and directions here

What about the Green Days Cafe on Lark Lane (above number 13)? It’s vegetarian (including all day veggie breakfasts) with fantastic food, freshly squeezed orange juice and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. (I don’t own the place or work there, just a very happy customer!)

anyone in swansea wales–

13 Castle Street, Swansea, SA1 1JF, Wales, UK

the monkey cafe is brilliant and has veggie or vegan food with some meat and fish options too, so you can go with a meat eating friend(s),they use local, organic, free range produce where possible, and if you have any dietry requirements they will adapt the foods to suit you. YUMMY!!

Try Greendays – One of Liverpool’s hidden gems. Fantasic value for money. Cool ambience with excellent, high quality service and food. Try Ronnie’s nana sandwich (bannanas, peanut butter, honey and walnuts)a real treat.

My partner and I were really looking forward to trying the Sabai thai resteraunt because they had tons of veggie options on their menu. However, when we rung up to book a table we asked about the veggie options but they told us they all contained fish oils!! Wont be going there then!!

Just read the comment Re- Sabai

I have just rang them in a panic thinking I had eaten fish.

I spoke to an English member of staff who told me that, there is no fish or fish oils in the vegetarian food, they are all plant based and cooked separately from meat dishes.

The vegetarian dishes have vegetables only and the tofu dishes have bits of tofu and veg.

I’ve been to a few Thai places and then found out later that Green and Red curry always has a shrimp ingredient in the paste.

I have recently found MelloMello at the end of Slater Street, corner of Parr Street. It is a lovely veggie ‘jazz cafe’ that serves loads of different kinds of tea and fairtrade coffee, and offers soya milk (plamil). The food menu is vegetarian and has vegan options:o) The atmosphere is relaxing, young and bohemian. They also serve a range of organic lagers, real ale, ciders, spirits and wines. Their website is http://www.mellomello.co.uk/ and facebook: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=27941464157#!/group.php?gid=27941464157&v=info
