Formerly known as Honest To Goodness, now renamed to Sun Land Organic

Sun Land Organic

About:

Sun Land Organic was born out of love for our planet and its inhabitants and a belief that how we shop can effect the world we live in. We offer an alternative to the supermarkets that reflects the name and ethics of our business.

“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet” William Shakespeare.

By any other name our business would still have the same beliefs, but we chose our name to reflect our commitments and ethics.

Honest – Equitable; fair

We are committed to the integrity of our products and only deal with suppliers who share our ethics. Many of our products are fairly traded, organic and from sustainable sources.

Goodness – The beneficial or nutritious part

What we sell is nutritious or beneficial or both. By beneficial we mean it benefits people, animals, the planet and often all three.

Come and visit our shop at 10 Market Street, Hoylake, CH47 2AE. We are twenty minutes from Liverpool by road or train and 40 minutes from Chester.

  1. About time we had a vegan shop on the Wirral – oh the luxury of not having to check every label or list of ingredients! Friendly, helpful proprieter and an excellent range of goods. Also, the opening hours are brilliant and prices very good – compares well with local health shops and supermarkets. No I’m not related to the owner,I’m just happy to have found this place!

  2. Visited the shop today and it was brilliant. Excellent opening times, good variety, friendly and helpful service. Also, so glad to have one of these shops on the wirral. Well done John, it was nice to meet you (well i think it was you). I was the one wanting wheat and gluten free products and the one who has the natural beauty store online :)x

  3. Thanks for the great comments, it makes all the hard work worth it to get such positive feedback. Just to let everyone know during these cold dark winter months we will not be open 8am in the mornings but will be open at 9am instead. We are constantly reviewing our opening hours and if anything changes I will let you all know.

  4. WOW! What a fab shop. At last I can try all the lovely vegan goodies that I have only ever read about but never seen in the shops. I will be spending my afternoon baking chocolate chip cookies, using my plamil chocolate drops and scoffing booja booja ice cream. The is also a great range of dried goods , cosmetics and cleaning products. I will definitely be heading back soon.

  9. Fantastic ethical shop – just what we need on the Wirral… I’m so pleased it’s virtually on my doorstep – well within walking distance.

Great range of groceries and now also running a veg-box delivery scheme.

Bright, welcoming, everything clearly labelled and presented, friendly staff, I just wish I had something like this in Coventry where I live. Make me want to reloctae even moer!! The question is:- when are you opening a vegan Cafe?!!

  12. Made a trip across the Water to visit Honest to Goodness, worth the trip, well organised shop, inviting, great product range and on parr with Windmill Wholefoods in Liverpool 🙂

  13. Shouldn’t you be called BlindScouseVeg? I was brought up to call scouse a meat dish but its meatless version was blind scouse. Seriously though, very good luck and I will call in next time I’m in the UK.
