Madonna’s dyed sheep sparks row

Madonna has been slammed by animal rights campaigners for dyeing her sheep for a magazine photoshoot.

The 49-year-old singer tainted the coats of her flock blue, pink, yellow and green for the pictures for Vogue, in homage to famous photographer Cecil Beaton.

The snapper lived on the £9million Ashcombe estate in Wiltshire she shares with husband Guy Richie and her children during the 1930s and 1940s.

The RSPCA called the act an “irresponsible publicity stunt” and warned it could lead to copycat incidents.

A spokesman said: “Why is it necessary and what are they trying to prove?

“It sends out the wrong message about how to use animals. Even if the dye is safe for the animals, others might copy it with an unsafe dye.”
