Look who Alder Hey got to help raise funds

This is the funniest thing I’ve read in ages.

So you are Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and you want to raise a bit of money but do your bit for the environment.

– You need a well known name prefrebly somebody from the area who would get noticed.

– Some bright spark tell you that you should go with the fur wearing Coleen McLoughlin

SHE’S graced the covers of fashion magazines all over the world, featured in Vogue and presented her own TV show.

So it’s no surprise super stylish Coleen McLoughlin’s latest must-have has been causing a stir in Liverpool.

The fashion icon designed her own environmentally friendly bag to help raise cash for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

Bosses at Clayton Square shopping centre, where the bag is available, have announced the Bag for Life is well on target to raise £30,000 for the hospital’s Imagine Appeal.

Coleen said: “I was made up to be approached about this bag as Alder Hey is very close to my heart.

“Raising money for sick children and doing your bit for the environment at the same time is a winner.”

Yeah good token gesture there. It actually requires little or no effort or her part apart from making the above remark.

To Alder Hey – all power to you for trying to raise some money. I hope the bags for life are a huge success. But please… sack whichever marketing company came up with her name to be associated with this worthy cause.
