Ingrid Newkirk's New Book

Was just looking recently and then today Alexia at Fish and Chimps: PETA Europe’s Blog gave a shout out about the very same person I was reading about.

Alexia gave this person a mention because the Financial Times did a big feature on her. However my attention was caught not by the article, but before this with the release of Ingrid Newkirk’s new book – One Can Make A Difference : How Simple Actions Can Change the World. which is out now.

Ingrid Newkirk

(For those of you who can’t be arsed clicking the links)

Ingrid Newkirk is the President of PETA in the USA. She is not one who just sits there behind a desk, Ingrid gets out there and takes part. That is a very short summary but seriously, go and read for yourself.

– And go and read her book too. (See what I did there).

We witnessed an event last week which changed not only the United States, but possibly the world. But as Hanna says:

“We ALL have the power to change the world for the better by our actions and through our example.
Or as Gandhi said – Be the change you to want to see in this world!
So, no more waiting for the change! Get out there and Be The Change!!! “

..and Ingrid’s book is there to help, to inspire you:

“Ingrid Newkirk’s new book, One Can Make a Difference: How Simple Actions Can Change the World, is an enlightening roadmap for anyone who seeks a just society and strives to make a positive impact on our world.

Ingrid has compiled more than 50 thought-provoking essays written by an intriguing and diverse group of individuals. Featured authors include celebrities, such as Oliver Stone and Brigitte Bardot; renowned physicians; and private citizens who, armed with nothing more than the power of their own beliefs, have made a positive impact on the world. As readers peek into the psyche of these amazing personalities, they will discover that all it takes to create an entire movement is the desire and determination of any one person.”

Plus as Alexia also mentions: If you haven’t already checked out Ingrid’s blog make that your next stop.
