Review: The VeganKind – Box 8

Review VeganKind Box 8

This is fast becoming on of my favourite monthly features on the blog. I just love the surprise of the box each month, and The VeganKind are somehow managing to avoid the death pit of repetition and sample sachets so many other subscription boxes fall into, instead providing novel and high-quality products each month without charging extortionate amounts of money. So having said that, lets dive into this month’s box!

Ten Acre Crisps

First up were the holy grail of veganism (well, one of them anyway), Cheese & Onion crisps (full size). After Barrow Boys went bust, we thought we’re never see the day, but here they are! Ten Acre Crisps have produced a delicious product, retailing at a sensible £0.85. They also offer several other flavours, and I believe they may be available at Utopi-ish in Liverpool (I’ll have to find out for myself if that’s true!), but who are we kidding. Given the choice, I’d choose vegan cheese and onion any day. I thought it important to mention that the ingredients list on these is surprisingly simple. No crazy chemical faux-cheese flavour here!

High Pro Strawberry Banana

Second, the box contained a packet of Sativa Shakes Strawberry and Banana Protein Powder (full size single serving sachet). I’ve been dying to try this product forever, but have shied away from the price. I found that I really enjoyed this, and it also comes in a chocolate caramel flavour, so I think this will be on my list for the next time I have some disposable income (hah, as if).

Mr Organic Pesto

I have only one thing to say about the Mr Organic Sun Dried Tomato Pesto (full size): Buy it. It’s so delicious. You only need about a tablespoon for a bowl of pasta and it turns it into the most delicious, sun-inspires, flavourful meal ever! Seriously. It’s amazing.

Next up was a bag of Inspiral Raw Chocolately Superfood Bites (full size), which I was a bit apprehensive about. Reading the label, it just looked a bit too much. I quickly changed my mind however, so quickly, in fact, that these didn’t even make it in front of the camera. The brand’s Kale Chips have been featured in the box before, and I can’t wait to see what the brand comes up with next!

Peppy Galore Diva TonerLast but not least, a small bottle of Peppy Galore Diva toner, made of rose water, was included. It smells divine! I haven’t tried this yet, but if the smell is anything to go by, it must be amazing. This definitely deserves its own post very soon!

Overall, the value of the box came to £13.17, so you’re definitely getting you money’s worth.
