A couple of months ago, a beautiful soul I was lucky enough to go to uni with and who now works at Lush (lucky her) snuck a little gift into my purchase. One of the items was Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner, which was not a product I would have ever considered purchasing, but which I now don’t think I can live without. Too dramatic?
Unlike regular body lotions, which I love but can be a pain to apply when you have to get dressed really fast because of your unfortunate tendency to get out of bed 30 minutes before you have to leave the house, Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner is applied, as the name suggests, like a conditioner. You apply it while you’re still in the shower, quickly rinse it off, and are sufficiently moisturised for the day without being sticky. Genius. To me, this alone would be reason enough to repurchase.
I do, however, also have to talk about the scent. One of the reasons why any of the Lush rose products have never really been on my wish list is because I simply don’t like the scent of roses. Not in perfume, not in really roses, not in potpourri, I always keep roses at an arm’s length. For that reason, I wasn’t going to shell out £16.50 for something I didn’t think I would like. However, the rose scent in Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner is so delicate that I was surprised to find that I actually enjoy it! It isn’t the heavy, slightly bitter scent I was expecting, but instead very light and breezy, perfect for an every-day product. I love it!
It’s certainly a bit pricey, and I don’t think it will become a staple product. However, it makes a wonderful treat and it’s definitely going to become one of those items I regularly give as gifts!
Have you tried using a body conditioner rather than a body lotion? Which do you prefer?
