Beauty | The VeganKind Beauty Box February 2016

February, May, August and November are always worth getting excited for, because the next The VeganKind Beauty Box is due! I’ve looked at lots of subscription boxes in the past, but I stick with this one as it just always tops everything else available on the market. This month was no different!

With four (well, five, but kind of four) items in the February 2016 box, this package was slightly lighter than usual, but I think it might be one of my favourites so far. Let’s start with the one item I wasn’t too impressed by:

Sacred Elephant Sandalwood incense & holder (this is what I meant by the five-but-kind-of-four comment). Not being much of an incense person, I just don’t see myself using it at all. However, I’m sure I can gift it to someone else, as it smells absolutely divine and I have a few friends and family members who would certainly enjoy it!

Second was a Saturated Colour  lipstick. Oh. My. I love this stuff. I think I may never buy a different brand of lipstick again. It’s really bold, so I tend to dab it on rather than giving my lips a full swipe, but it feels amazingly light on the lips, not sticky, not greasy and it doesn’t dry out, and the staying power is fantastic.

The next item was a Barry M.  Radiant Rod highlighting crayon. I’ve had my eye on this for quite a while, but somehow never got round to buying it. I’ve used this a few times since this TVK box landed on my doorstep and I think it’ll be something I’ll repurchase again and again. It perfectly compliments my Afterglow Light Bronzer!

Last but not least was a tube of Amie face wash. I believe you can buy the brand’s products in Waitrose, although I’ve spent the past two years (!) eyeing them up on CuteCosmetics. I’ve just never gotten round to purchasing anything! I haven’t tried this yet as I have another tub of Bûche de Noël to get through, but it’s sitting in my toiletry box, patiently waiting for its moment!

Unlike other subscription boxes, The VeganKind mostly sends out full size items. I love this, because it means that I can give a product a really thorough trial run before I decide whether to repurchase it or not.

Do you subscribe to any other vegan beauty boxes? Let me know which ones!
