A couple of years ago we gave a mention to a venue out in the wilds of Lancashire, somewhere to go if you dared to leave the glorious republik of Mersey.

The establishment is located in the centre of Wigan and offered vegetarian and vegan foods. Although… at the time there was also a deli which also sold meat.

This was something looked upon dimly by veggies, we understood though that they did what they had to do to survive. They offered an option for those partners who weren’t veggie. (A strange thought I know).

But this is no more. The deli is no more.

They have since reformatted, refurbished and reopened:

The Coven, Wigan

The new Coven is open for lunch Mon-Friday and every Thursday for dinner.

They are 2 mins from the bus/coach station and 5 mins walk from the train station. After 6:30pm you can park free on Hallgate outside the Restaurant.
