Review – The VeganKind Box 9

The VeganKind Box 9 Review

The VeganKind have done it again. I was super excited when I saw the amazing items that company have put together this month! This box is super special to me, because it contains one of my own recipes – Agave-Sweetened Raspberry Sorbet. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen one of my recipes in print and it’s making me super happy! I’ll post the recipe on here soon, too.

Firstly, let me introduce two products that I accidentally deleted the photos of before I managed to upload them: Coconut Organics CocoBacon (full size) and Frank Bar Strawberry & Chocolate (full size). The Coconut Bacon took a little bit of getting used to, but after a few tastes I found myself really enjoying it. Somehow, the sweet, salty and smokey flavour merge perfectly and I think this would be amazing alongside breakfast pancakes. Not that I ever got that far, I just snacked away the whole bag. As usual, I didn’t eat the Frank Bar. As I’ve said before, the only date & nut based bars I’ll eat are Nakd brand, I just don’t enjoy any others. Jake had this and he quite liked it though, so if you’re slightly less fussy than I am, this might be something to try.

The VeganKind Box 9 Vita CoCo

One of my favourite products ever is Vita CoCo coconut water (full size). We always have a big carton of this in the fridge and use it to make smoothies and to re-hydrate after workouts. It delicious, although spendy. This 500ml carton is the perfect size to chuck in your gym bag and drink during a particularly intense HIIT cardio session.

Vego Bar

The Vego chocolate bar is possibly the biggest improvement to vegan chocolate/confectionary ever (full size). Most of you will have tried one at this point (we ate two in Germany because they’re just so good), but if you haven’t, you really need to get your hands on one. Sure, it’s not the healthiest treat ever, but if you’re going to indulge, then this is the way to do it. Unfortunately, it’s like poison to nut allergy sufferers due to all the hazelnuts, so I hope the brand expand their line in the future to incorporate something for everyone!

Squeeze Wheatgrass Juice

Next up was a sachet of Squeeze Wheatgrass Juice (sample size). I’ve never had wheatgrass before, but I’ve heard amazing things about it. I’m not sure whether I can stomach drinking this on it’s own, but I think it’ll make a wonderful addition to one of my green juices!

Heavenly Organics Just Add Water Shampoo

Lastly, a tin of Heavenly Organics Skin Care Just Add Water Shampoo was included. I haven’t tried this yet, either, but it seems to be ideal for traveling, as it’s a powder rather than a liquid. I think this might be going in my gym bag. TVK have been really good at including at least one non-food item in the box each month, and they’re releasing a special one-off beauty box this month! I’ll definitely be buying that, so hop on over to their website on the 16th to reserve yours!
