RSPCA Good Business Awards

Good Business Awards

Do you know a retailer or designer who deserves recognition for their animal welfare standards?

Fur is a fashion faux-pas, accordingly to an overwhelming 95 per cent of people surveyed by the RSPCA ahead of the annual RSPCA Good Business Awards, which are now open for entries.

More and more of us want ethically produced goods. The ethical fashion category in the RSPCA annual Good Business Awards will celebrate retailers, designers and other fashion businesses that set the bar for animal welfare standards in the UK.

Judges include designer Wayne Hemingway, The Times’ Fashion Editor Lisa Armstrong, and Shelly Vella, fashion director of Cosmopolitan magazine.

Businesses worthy of the Good Business Award accolade show a commitment to not using fur, exotic skins or karakul lambskin pelts and must have a policy on sourcing merino wool.

By entering and winning the good business awards these businesses will become part of a unique club of businesses that can say they have been recognised by the RSPCA.

The awards close on 10 June 2011. For more information and to enter log onto www.rspcagoodbusinessawards.com or to find out more about ethical fashion go to www.goodthings.org.uk
