Vegan MoFo 2014 | The VeganKind Box 11

No Vegan Month of Food on Moving Scouse could be complete without the most recent The VeganKind box review, could it? This box landed on my desk this morning and is jam-packed with all sorts of vegan goodies!

First up – my absolute favourite item. I’d read about the Ombar Organic Coco Mylk Bar (35g) a few times, but hadn’t seen one for sale anywhere. This is absolutely divine. It tastes creamy, with none of the waxy texture rice-based bars tend to have so often, and even contains a healthy dose of probiotics! Amazing!

Hoots Snacks Pickled Onion Flavour (full size) reminded me of the Bagel Chips I used to love when I was younger. Baked, multi seed chips are flavoured with, well, pickled onion, and they make an excellent afternoon snack! I did find the flavour a little bit odd though, so I would love to try some of the brand’s other flavours.

Do I even need to tell you how much I love my Bear snacks (full size)? I doubt it. These little paws are actually small flecks of fruit leather, delicious and containing absolutely no nasties! If I had kids, I would totally allow these as a treat!

Jake loves his spices, so he gets very excited whenever they’re included in the box. He added some of this Taste Magic BBQ Dust to our dinner, and it gave a wonderful smokey, spicy flavour that I really enjoyed (full size)!

I’d pretty much given up on natural deodorant, if I’m honest. Crystal sticks and the like just don’t work for me, and I was convinced that I’d tried everything going. This Skin Likes product, however, might be a game-changer (full size). I’ve mentioned a few times now that I’m trying to clean up my household, and a reliable green deodorant would be such a great thing to have around! Of course, I haven’t really had much time to try this, but it smells amazing and I’ll keep you posted!

Need I say much more about the Creative Nature Blissful Berry Snack Bars (full size)? I reviewed them a few days ago in this post, and I can confirm that they’re living up to expectations!

Last but not least, these little bag of Nothing But Pineapple & Grape Snack (full size)! In my last TVK review post, we came to the conclusion in the comments that the freeze-dried vegetables weren’t a great idea, but that the same concept with fruit would be amazing. What a coincidence, we were right! These are delicious and definitely something I would buy if it were readily available to me.

Are you a TVK subscriber? What did you think of this month’s box?

  1. Hi Hannah
Thanks for the review on our Magic BBQ Dust – glad Jake enjoyed it too! There’s a simple recipe on our website for boosting tomato sauce using that too.
    Have fun!
